I've had this installed for couple of days now, and general, I am disappointed. All of the adjustable joints have way, way too considerably leeway in them. When they "lock" in place, the joints are nevertheless in a position to move a beneficial 1/4" up and down or side to side. As a result, my iPhone is bouncing all over the spot on bumpy roads and wobbling constantly on smooth roads. Quite annoying. The suction works fine, but the included dash mount was worthless, as the suction cup wouldn't stick to it for longer than five seconds. The suction functions good on glass, though.

I bought this on sale so it really isn't worth it for me to return it, as I would shed too much in return shipping. I'm going to drill a couple tiny holes in the joins and insert some pegs to remove the looseness of the joints.

UPDATE 8/21/11: Seven months later, and this "heavy duty" factor is now falling apart. The pads on the clamps that hold your device starting falling off two months ago. 3 days ago when attempting to adjust it, it just broke, so I ripped it off my windshield and tossed it into the back seat. Junk.

I purchased this to attach to my windshield to hold the iPhone through navigation. it does not work! so though the item sucks, it certainly doesn't suck enough to hold to the windshield. do your self a favor, shop for a much better brand, this one particular simplify doesn't function
